Re: Wise Thoughts, Quotes and Stories

Loved that reply on that quote as well by Liz Reinhard
I have a bit of a problem with this statement in general. For me it's about having your borders in place, learning to love yourself enough to say NO or ENOUGH.
We all have free will. If someone abuses your goodness or you feel it is not appreciated , it's clear ....STOP giving too much. It does not mean you stop being a person who has a big heart, you learn to direct your energy where it does the most good and where it is wanted .
We all need to learn to protect ourselves . As for expectations...it is true, don't expect anything in return BUT since it is human nature, relationships/friendships DO have a built in balance sheet. Will any of us just keep on giving despite receiving nothing in return. I don't think so! ( I am not referring to a once - off help to someone) . I am not criticizing people who have been hurt by having a big heart at all...I want to point out that the responsibility for being stung lies with us! So keep being that person with a great big heart, but protect yourself from abuse and being a constant victim!

Re: Wise Thoughts, Quotes and Stories
Thanks, wise Saad. I especially like first two, cause they are related to friends and relationships with everyone and helps us understand who is pretty much a trash.
